“Italian Screens” – 2022 Edition

From 13th to 19th June 2022, the finalist works of the David di Donatello “Best Short Film” category will be available worldwide on the MyMovies platform.

The idea of promoting Italian cinema through the network of Italian cultural institutes was born with the institution of the World Day of Italian Cinema, celebrated in the years of the pandemic – starting from 2020 – with the promotion of the five shorts selected by Premi David di Donatello. From this year, the anniversary of the World Day Of Italian Cinema returns to be celebrated on its original date – January 20th – contributing to the promotion of Italian cinema talents throughout the year.

Today the international review of the short films – known as Italian Screens – has permanently become part of “Fare Cinema”, the event dedicated to the professions of cinema and the promotion of the Italian film industry in the world created by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the network of Italian Embassies, Consulates and Cultural Institutes, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, ANICA, Agenzia ICE, Cinecittà, Italy for Movies, Italian Film Commissions, Academy of Italian Cinema – David di Donatello Awards and the Biennale di Venice.

Protagonists this year are Maestrale by Nico Bonomolo; Pilgrims, by Farnoosh Samadi and Ali Asgari; “L’ultimo spegne la luce” by Tommaso Santambrogio; Notte romana by Valerio Ferrara and Diorama by Camilla Caré.

Here the complete program of the 2022 edition of “Fare Cinema”. The shorts will be available for free, with subtitles and without geographical limitations until June 19th, 2022 on the MyMovies dedicated channel.
